- CO #1 - We spent some time looking at the basement and as we discussed on Friday we will take up the floor and all of the sound deadening tiles off of the walls. Once the floor is up we will survey any other potential damage and report. This work will be billed on a time and materials basis.
- CO #2 - The basement kitchen has some significant rot behind where the refrigerator was. I suggest removing all of the existing cabinetry and flooring to expose the rot. This will need to be removed and the framing repaired.
This work will be billed on a time and materials basis.
- CO #3 - Window tune ups. This already in the budget as a range of costs. I suggest going at a few windows to see what it takes to make them work smoothly and see if they will be acceptable. Then make a cal on the scope for the remaining windows. This work will be billed on a time and materials basis.
Historic Note:
Per JB Clancy "You had a question about the chimney removal and any historic district restrictions. There is an historic district for Brush Hill Road but the Millington House is not on that part of Brush Hill Road. The historic district on Brush Hill Road is located between Robbins St and Dana St, including Brush Hill Lane and Fairmount Ave. I am going to call the commissioner of the Historic Commission to confirm. FYI: This past year we removed a chimney in Milton on an older house that was right across the street from Milton academy and we did not have any problems with the Historic Commission."
